I ordered a small group to add to the eight I had already. The fish arrived in a healthy condition and have quickly settled into a quarantine tank. All acclimatised well and very active. Started to colour up within 24 hours after arrival. The fish were very well packaged and clear directions were provided on acclimatising them. These fish will join a group living harmoniously with Ember Tetra, Celestial Pearl Danio, Blue Neocardina Shrimp and a couple of nerite snails, in a heavily planted, 180 litre tank. My Kubutai are very busy all day, great little characters and the new Kubutai seem just as active. They are much faster and more active than the Ember Tetra and the Celestial Pearl Danio. They also enjoy spending some time swimming in the water flow / tide from the filter. They are not at all shy and spend most of the day swimming in open space , rather than weaving through the plants like the other fish in the tank. After an initial curiosity, they have ignored the adult and juvenile shrimp and and my shrimp colony continues to grow. Just have to feed in two locations in the tank as the Kubutai Dwarf Rasbora get to the food rapidly. Once they are busy eating. I feed other fish at the other end of the tank. The three species in my main tank will occasionally shoal together for a few minutes in the evenings, which is a treat to see. Very pleased with the kubutai I have received from Abyss Aquatic Warehouse and looking forward to introducing them to my main tank soon.
